What are the three Grand Hôtel accommodation locations in Serre Chevalier?
Grand Hôtel brings together three addresses in Saint-Chaffrey, in the Hautes-Alpes. L’Hôtel**** and Les Chalets stand at the foot of the slopes, at an altitude of 1,350 metres in the village of Chantemerle. Le Refuge sits at 1,900 metres, at the top of the Luc Alphand piste. It can be reached by the Ratier gondola.
How can I reach Grand Hôtel Serre Chevalier by train or car?
By train, Briançon station is ten minutes from Grand Hôtel; Oulx station in Italy is another option. By car, allow 1 hour 30 minutes from Turin and 2 hours 45 minutes from Marseille or Lyon. Resalp coaches also connect Briançon with the resort. The address of L’Hôtel**** and Les Chalets is 594 rue du Centre, 05330 Saint-Chaffrey.
Does Grand Hôtel Serre Chevalier have parking?
Yes. A secure underground car park, accessed by badge, is reserved for Grand Hôtel guests. The rate is €25 per night per car, including valet parking, subject to availability. Spaces are provided for electric vehicles, and parking is complimentary for motorcyclists.
Are L’Hôtel**** and Les Chalets at the foot of the slopes?
Yes. Both are located on the snow front, just steps from Serre Chevalier’s gondolas and ski lifts. The ESF meeting point is directly opposite, making it possible to reach the lifts on skis. The Serre Chevalier Vallée Briançon ski area has 250 kilometres of pistes.
Does Grand Hôtel Serre Chevalier also welcome guests outside the ski season?
Yes. Grand Hôtel is also open in summer. L’Annexe restaurant hosts a musical brunch on Sundays, while yoga classes take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Bar L’Alta brings the resort to life in both summer and winter. Outside the ski season, Ski Shop Melquiond rents mountain bikes, ropes and climbing harnesses. Secure bicycle storage is also available.
