The fusion of two great talents
The Grand Hotel brand proudly bears the mark of two illustrious names in architecture: internationally acclaimed architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte (behind the Chalets) and the Aix-en-Provence-based interior designer Olivier Frémont (overseeing the entire site).
Jean-Michel Wilmotte: A Globetrotting Aesthete
Renowned for designing the Richelieu wing of the Louvre, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, and the Museum of Islamic Arts in Doha. Jean-Michel Wilmotte brings a passion for beauty and a mastery of light to his work. His vision for our 21 Chalets seamlessly blends elegance, comfort, and simplicity, creating luxurious, understated spaces.
Olivier Frémont: Creator of Atmospheres
Our story with Olivier Frémont, an Aix-en-Provence native by choice and at heart, transcended professional realms, blossoming into a profound connection.
Since the project’s inception, Frémont has crafted the unique “Grand Hotel atmosphere,” infusing each of the three distinct environments with the Studio Frémont signature – a style that’s effortlessly chic, sleek, and relaxed, ensuring a sense of continuity throughout.
